Village Life comes to Aberdeen


Village Urban Resorts opened its doors in December. For weddings, a dedicated special events planner is available to smoothly guide you every step of the way. The Inspiration Suite offers space for up to 130 guests, with smaller, more intimate suites also available. Flavoured Flavours


Country Flavours of Alford, whose first wedding of 2014 was at Balmoral Castle no less, now looks after all the catering at Monymusk Estate.

Furthermore a marquee has been erected on the estate suitable for weddings for 80 to 300 guests, with the marquee being adapted in size to suit.

Apart from a beautiful setting on the River Don with Bennachie in the background, there is also an option to get married in the nearby Monymusk Church.

Avorio Bridal Reach Milestone


Avorio Bridal, Fochabers, reached the milestone of 10 years in business at the end of last year. To celebrate, they held a full charity week – including a tea party and raffle – in November, raising a total of £6,500 for three local charities.

A New Star is Born!


Congratulations to Stephanie Bain of The Bridal Boutique, Peterculter, whose daughter, Lily, was born on 29th January. Stephanie and dad Neil are both delighted with their new arrival. Stephanie even managed to get Lily modelling for The Bridal Boutique in her first week!
